Meet your Future Demand with NBN Network

Are you ready to invest in the next segment of NBN’s evolution?

The purpose of lifting Australia’s Digital competence has grown in importance over the past months as natural disasters of floods and forest fire, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the requirement for fast, consistent, and secure broadband.

With lots of people working and studying from home, demand for high-speed broadband services is growing. To encounter this, and future customer demand – we are bringing forward the next phase of planned network investment.

Making our wholesale speed plans available to more Australians

The investment in network will benefit homes and small businesses across Fiber-to-the-Node (FTTN), Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC), and Hybrid-Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) networks.

Deeper Fiber Rollout:

Premises connected to the NBN network via FTTN technology that needs higher speeds will be able to access higher wholesale speed tiers via FTTP technology. This will be completed by using existing fiber infrastructure previously built to investing in the continued rollout of fiber deeper into localities. Customers living or working in these regions will be able to place an order with any participating internet provider for a higher speed NBN Home Fast, NBN Home Superfast, or NBN Home Ultrafast broadband plan.

Investments in HFC Network:

Premises in metropolises connected to NBN’s HFC network will benefit from access to higher speed capability. The planned upgrade to this network will offer all HFC customers access to the NBN Home Ultrafast plan, presently available to the HFC-connected premises. When NBN launched higher speed tiers previous this year, participating retailers were able to sell retail plans based on the NBN Home Fast speed tier to all customers connected to the NBN by HFC.

Super Uplift for Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC) Customers:

We will wish to enable premises connected to NBN via FTTC technology to access the NBN Home Superfast and NBN Home Ultrafast speed plans through the on-demand deployment of fast capability in certain conditions. Fast technology fundamentally gives greater speeds to customers connected to the network via FTTC.

We do focusing on delivering a great customer experience in co-operation with our retail partners and ensuring we address the varied requirements of customers.
